Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, and data management within our client's Design department. This role focuses on software troubleshooting, hardware maintenance, data transfers, and IT coordination to support critical business operations. Experience in a manufacturing setting is highly beneficial
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management & Transfers (60%–75%)
Download, plot, and log customer data from original equipment manufacturer (OEM) supplier portals.
Handle Design Transfer and Release Files (DTARFs), including conversion to STEP format and secure file sharing.
Manage supplier and manufacturing facility accounts for data exchanges.
Hardware & Software Support (25%–40%)
Provide IT support for CAD software used in manufacturing and engineering environments.
Work with OpenText and external partners to troubleshoot CAD software issues and updates.
Maintain an Excel-based hardware inventory with an active replacement list.
Assist with hardware/software procurement, PO submissions, and vendor coordination.
Coordinate with internal and external IT support teams as needed to address technical issues.
Provide hardware/software quotations for budgeting and procurement.
Facilitate new associate setup, ensuring proper IT onboarding.
Qualifications:
Required:
5 years of IT support experience with a focus on software troubleshooting and hardware management.
Strong experience supporting CAD software and design applications (experience with automotive OEM or other manufacturing environments preferred).
Proficiency in Excel for hardware tracking and data management.
Ability to troubleshoot software/hardware issues and coordinate with vendors.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Preferred:
Experience in automotive manufacturing IT support.
Familiarity with design engineering tools and processes.
Understanding of IT procurement and budgeting.
This is an onsite position based on Eaton, OH
Salary is 60-70K annually
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
