What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Sustaining Engineer position at Blue Bridge People?
This is a FULL-TIME, Direct Hire role that is ON-SITE 5 days a week
Role Summary :
Lead the design and engineering of electro-mechanical EMS systems, including structural and mechanical components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (NPD, Innovation, Test, Quality, Product Management, etc.) to ensure product reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support design and development of electro-mechanical products and subsystems.
- Experience in reverse engineering legacy technology and products
- Utilize FEA tools and conduct design reviews, FMEAs, and root cause analyses.
- Create and maintain accurate product documentation, drawings, BOMs, and GD&T standards.
- Oversee product verification, validation, and certification to meet regulatory standards.
- Investigate field issues, manage corrective actions, and recommend post-release support strategies.
- Collaborate on cost improvements, manufacturability, and assembly optimizations.
