Blue Buoy is a year-round swim lesson program and we are currently seeking a Lifeguard/Instructor to join our team. We teach a range of individuals from 3 months through Adults how to swim. Through our paid training program, you will develop the skills you need to become a Blue Buoy Swim Instructor.

Schedule: We understand the demands of college, school and family life. Scheduling is tailored to fit your needs and help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
- Year-round availability (no seasonal hires)
- Monday – Thursday: 1:45 PM – 7:30 PM
- Friday: 1:45 PM - 5:15 PM
- Saturday: 8:45 AM – 1:15 PM
Pay Rates (Based on Experience):
- Lifeguard: Starting at $19 /hr
- Instructor: Starting at $22 /hr **requires a 2-year commitment

Key Responsibilities:**
- Train to become an extraordinary swim instructor though hands-on training alongside our key instructors in our proven methods (paid training provided)
- Guard swim classes and ensure the safety of all participants in and around the water.
- Build relationships of trust with your weekly students as you help them develop swimming and safety skills at the pace that makes sense for them, and build confidence that will last a lifetime.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous Swim Team/Club Swim or Water polo experience
- Red Cross lifeguard certification. (We can assist with renewal or scheduling certification during on boarding)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and parents.
- Passion for teaching swim skills and promoting water safety among all age groups.
-Ability to lift students and pool equipment are all expected parts of the job.
