Position Purpose: The Executive Director of Spacecraft provides leadership and supervision of the product line that encompasses all spacecraft at Blue Canyon, and is the profit-loss owner for the product line.

Pay Range: $180,000 - $325,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate with company Executive Leadership to provide status on resource capacity, Engineering support to programs, product line developments, and financial performance
- Support financial reviews, including program EACs and LREs, cashflow status, AOP and LRP generation, indirect labor and non-labor budgets
- Support business development efforts, providing program management function, proposal generation and review support, and pricing
- Engage with customers for business development and strategic partnering, program status, and issue resolution
- Provide and present BCT spacecraft capabilities briefings
- Establish and maintain BCT spacecraft products, including generation and maintenance of standard documentation, pricing, resource planning
- Continuously evaluate existing and emerging technologies for inclusion in spacecraft products
- Review and assist in revision of contract documents, including specifications, SOWs, delivery orders
- Oversee special programs as needed, providing technical, planning, and execution leadership
- Lead, assess, supervise, coach, and develop departmental leaders and staff
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications/Education:
- 20 years of experience as a Manager or Director of Spacecraft programs
- Experience and knowledge in profit/loss management
- Master’s degree or higher preferred, in Aerospace, Engineering, System, or Computer science discipline
- Strong systems engineering and technical management skills and demonstrated ability to grow new business opportunities and execute demanding flight programs
- Must be able to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with emphasis in rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities
- Current TS/SCI with IC Poly
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
