Overview
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Server/Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have server and bartending experience, as well as the ability to work quickly and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing drinks when the bartender is not available, taking orders, interacting with customers, and ensuring that all safety and sanitation regulations are followed. We are a small family owned business. We prefer a team approach. Friday and Saturday availability is a must plus one day during the week. We operate Tue-Sat starting at 5 PM and closed on major holidays.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide exceptional service
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Maintain a clean and organized bar and dining area
- Process payments and handle cash/credit transactions
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service
- Work as a team player to ensure smooth operations
- Upsell menu items and daily specials when appropriate
Skills
- Proficient in using POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Strong math skills for handling cash register transactions and calculating drink prices.
- Previous experience in fine dining or catering environments is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
