Job Summary
The Home Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of our vacation properties. This position involves conducting thorough inspections of homes to assess their condition and appearance prior to guest check-ins, and following guest check-outs. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of quality management principles.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections of residential properties, identifying areas of concern.
- Utilize visual inspection techniques by applying attention to every detail of the home.
- Assist property managers with ensuring homes are compliant with state and local regulations.
- Conduct quality audits to verify aesthetic appeal of home, as well as cleanliness.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports that document findings, recommendations, and necessary repairs or improvements.
- Collaborate with property managers, and maintenance team to relay inspection results effectively.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in home inspection.
Skills
- Proficiency in using vision inspection systems for evaluating property conditions.
- Strong background in quality assurance practices and principles.
- Experience in data collection methods for accurate reporting and analysis.
- Knowledge of conducting quality audits to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Understanding of quality management systems and their application in home inspections.
- Knowledge of state and local regulations pertaining to transient housing (AirBnB, VRBO, Booking.com. Hotels.com etc.)
