Position : Matrimonial Litigator
Location : White Plains, New York
Position Overview :
We are seeking a seasoned Matrimonial Attorney to join our legal team in White Plains, New York. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of trial experience in handling complex family and matrimonial law cases. This position involves representing clients in divorce proceedings, equitable distribution of marital assets, child custody matters, child and spousal support, and other related family law issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel, advocating for clients’ rights, and managing high-net-worth, complex matrimonial litigation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Represent clients in matrimonial litigation, including divorce, child custody, alimony, and property division cases
- Offer legal advice and counsel on family law matters
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, attend court conferences, and prepare cases for trial, serving as lead trial counsel
- Negotiate settlements when appropriate and vigorously advocate for clients in court when necessary
- Maintain accurate case records, documentation, and billing entries
- Collaborate with other attorneys, legal professionals, and experts to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
- Stay informed about updates in divorce and family law and participate in relevant legal education and training
