Electronics Lab Technician _ 4 years _ Onsite @ Palo Alto, CA / Tustin, CA
Integrate mechanical and electrical components, build and rework of printed circuit boards and harnesses, and troubleshoot issues with engineers on mules, prototypes, and manufactured vehicles.
- PCBA Assembly & Troubleshooting:
Flash, test, assemble, and troubleshoot electronic control modules and harnesses to support engineering teams. - Harness Build & Rework:Build and integrate harnesses, root-cause electromechanical issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Component Integration & Testing:
Install mechanical and electrical components, build test assets for modules, and run electrical tests with creative problem-solving when issues arise. - Engineering Asset Maintenance:
Maintain electrical labs and ensure engineering assets (prototype vehicles, bucks) are functional and properly configured. - Vehicle-Level Testing:
Support electrical system bring-up for development vehicles and static buck builds. Diagnose, document, and repair electrical problems.
Qualifications:
- 4 years in rapid development and integration of vehicle harnessing and electrical components.
- Proficiency in reading and building from harness schematics (IPC-620 preferred).
- Skilled in soldering (IPC-7711/21 a plus) and using hand tools/meters.
- Experience reading/executing test plans in fast-paced lab environments.
- Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
