What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer - Wire Harness position at Blue Chip Talent?
Quality Engineer Position Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting quality and production to help resources and reduce scrap as well as rework and defects internally.
Qualifications and Required Experience for Quality Engineer:
- 1 years’ automotive experience in automotive manufacturing
- Proven record demonstrating the use of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flowcharts
- Extensive knowledge of continuous improvement, problem-solving, and manufacturing principles utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Quality or closely related field
Primary Responsibilities for Quality Engineer:
- Work with the customer locations to understand how product is used in the environment, and identify assembly issues and drive resolutions
- Reduce and prevent defects from reaching customer using guidelines
- Trains associates, and engineers in core quality tools including the 8 basics
