Senior Financial Analyst #23602

Support the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting. Maintain records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Create reports on financial performance for internal and external use. Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management, and tax, including preparing audit work papers.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding attention to detail, communication skills, and provide support, acting as a mentor to junior accounting staff..

Responsibilities:

• Prepare materials for monthly operating unit reviews and group meetings.
• Conduct financial analysis of actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
• Assist in developing monthly financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range financial plans (LRFP).
• Complete month-end reporting, financial walk-downs, and account reconciliations.
• Manage day-to-day controlling activities, including coordinating with external accounting firms on legal, treasury, and tax matters.
• Participate in initiatives to enhance the quality and timeliness of financial processes.
• Prepare financial reports for site management and support operating departments with data analysis and interpretation.
• Analyze plant inventory costs and assist with annual physical inventories (API).
• Support internal and external audit requests and control testing.
• Maintain frequent contact with external stakeholders and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with various departments and external partners.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
