What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced dog handler for daycare/boarding facility position at Blue Collar Doghouse?
We are looking for a motivated, hard-working dog professional . The job includes overseeing and maintaining safe dog play, feeding and medicating daycare dogs, interaction with dog owners, and facility cleaning.
We are veterinary technician owned and safety focused. The safety of the dog always comes first, we depend heavily on our handlers to ensure this safety! We need someone with a strong work ethic and passion to join our team! Our swing shift (1pm-9pm) will be opening late July and we are looking to begin screening candidates now to begin training in mid to late June. There may be a possibility of beginning training sooner for the right candidate. Must be able to work either a 3 or 4 day week that includes Saturday or Sunday, scheduled days will be consecutive. This is a position with our boarding department so will require working holidays.
Pay range is based on experience and may pay higher for candidates who hold a training certification.
Requirements:
- Experience working with groups of off leash dogs in a professional setting is required. Applicants must be comfortable and confident working with groups of dogs, with all sizes and breeds.
- Must be reliable. Due to our kennel free environment and in order to maintain safe operations daily, we are unable to offer employment to those who cannot reliably show up on time for their shifts.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be 18 years or older.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
