Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds/ Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance, as well as general maintenance of multiple commercial properties. This role involves various tasks related to the upkeep and beautification of grounds, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and visually appealing.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance duties
- Care for trees and shrubs through proper pruning and maintenance techniques.
- Assist with hardscape installation and maintenance, ensuring pathways and patios are in good condition.
- Dig, irrigate, and maintain flower beds, gardens, and other landscaped areas.
- Utilize hand tools effectively to perform various tasks.
- Monitor the health of plants and landscapes, reporting any issues to management.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working order, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred.
- Knowledge of tree care practices and hardscape installation techniques is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
