THE ROLE: Blue Compass RV is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master RV Technician to lead and execute repairs, maintenance, and installations on a wide variety of recreational vehicles. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural issues in RVs.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire replacements, and inspections.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure RVs are fully operational.
- Install accessories such as solar panels, tow hitches, awnings, and leveling systems.
- Configure and calibrate advanced electronic systems, including GPS and entertainment systems.
- Consult with customers to identify issues and provide accurate estimates for repair work.
- Clearly explain repairs and maintenance performed to ensure customer understanding.
- Serve as a mentor for apprentice and entry-level technicians.
- Provide technical guidance and best practices to the service team.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Ensure all work adheres to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
- Document repairs and services performed accurately in the company’s service management system.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an RV Technician, with proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex RV systems.
- Certified RV Technician credentials (e.g., RVDA/RVIA certifications) preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and chassis.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and service manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and perform tasks that require physical stamina.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
