Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong desire to contribute to creating beautiful landscapes. This role involves various physical tasks that support landscaping projects, including gardening, lawn care, and hardscaping. The Landscape Laborer will work closely with team members to ensure that all projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform garden maintenance tasks such as planting, weeding, and mulching.
- Build and install landscape features including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Dig trenches for planting or irrigation systems.
- Operate snow plowing equipment during winter months.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to maintain and repair landscaping equipment.
- Irrigate lawns and gardens effectively to promote healthy growth.
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners for various landscaping tasks.
- Mow lawns and maintain turf areas to ensure a neat appearance.
- Assist in hardscape installations including stonework and decorative elements.
- Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling tools.
Experience
- Previous experience in landscaping or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with garden maintenance techniques and lawn care practices is advantageous.
- Experience with hardscaping projects is a plus.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues is beneficial.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential for success in this role.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.55 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
