The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the marketing team in the planning, coordination and execution of marketing campaigns, programs and associated tactics. Work is 20% strategic, 80% transactional. The MS supports a dedicated Marketing Team (LOB) by creating detailed project schedules and managing complex logistics of campaign/program elements such as print materials, media buying/placement, procuring promotional items, and coordination of events. The MS liaises with external vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services and materials and ensures vendors are paid accurately, on-time and on-budget. Additionally, the MS provides traffic coordination for internal, cross-functional projects to ensure clear communication of objectives, deliverables, timelines and status across marketing teams/capabilities. The MS is a key user of Adobe Workfront and helps to design, implement and follow efficient and effective work processes. The MS ensures campaigns/projects run smoothly, achieve their objectives, and contribute to the overall success of the company’s marketing strategy. The MS ensures all marketing activities follow the review/approval process to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll do
- Supports a Marketing Team: Assists a dedicated marketing team (LOB) with various tasks to ensure seamless operations and the effective implementation of marketing strategies. Contributes to the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, prepares reports and presentations, and manages media buying and placement plans.
- Analyzes Information: Compiles and analyzes data to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and provides insights for improvement.
- Project Management: Develops and maintains detailed project schedules, tracking milestones, deadlines, and deliverables. Ensures projects move smoothly through various stages from initiation to completion, coordinating between different departments (clients, marketing, corp comms, UX/DX, creative, etc.).
- Communication: Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. Serves as a primary point of contact for internal teams regarding project status and timelines. Schedules regular project meetings with internal teams and project stakeholders. Communicates any changes or delays in project schedules promptly and efficiently.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintains comprehensive records of project timelines, task lists, status updates, and communication logs. Generates and distributes regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, upcoming tasks, and any potential issues.
- Administrative Tasks: Handles administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing marketing calendars, and maintaining marketing databases. Tracks expenses and ensures projects stay within budget.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinates with external vendors and agencies to ensure timely delivery. Ensures POs are fulfilled and paid.
- Program/Event Coordination: Assists in organizing and coordinating events such as trade shows, product launches, and promotional events. Manages logistics, registration, and post-event follow-up.
- Compliance Enforcement: Ensures all components follow and adhere to strict review, approval and documentation processes for CMS, KID, URAC and BCBSKS brand guidelines.

Education and Experience
- Experience: Entry level to 2 years business experience including marketing, advertising, product marketing, digital marketing, account-based marketing, sales and sales enablement or project management.
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. OR 4 years related Marketing/Business experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
