BCBSNE is happy to offer four work designations for our Omaha area employees: 100% in-office, Hybrid options, and 100% remote. If choosing to work remote, this role can be located in one of the following states: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Texas.
This position is responsible for leading and assisting internal and external delivery of provider data. As a main point of contact for the assigned provider data support team, this individual will perform maintenance on mainframe databases, verify provider records, assist with training for assigned team members, and will collaborate to identify process and documentation improvements as needed within scope of the position.
- Will perform all duties of a level one position, which includes creating, updating, and maintaining provider data records in the assigned databases, reviewing applicants to ensure they meet established criteria, and maintaining various internal data across all systems.
- Acts as a point of contact for provider data processes and desk level procedures. This may include partnering with others both cross-functionally and with the larger team scope.
- Facilitates intake and communication of complex provider groups which may come from delegations or other parts of the company.
- Collaborates and identifies process and documentation improvements or clarifications for the team. This includes providing training and a first escalation point for more entry level team members.
- Will attend meetings as a representatively for the provider data team.
- Works on assigned special projects for the team as needed.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years in analysis or customer service
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possess strong initiative, drive, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and positively influence others within the scope of the role is expected.
The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:
- Previous Healthcare Industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
