This is the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Job Description Summary
This role will write, edit and publish content across all Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) social media platforms, both Brand and executive accounts; spanning LinkedIn, Meta properties (Facebook, Instagram, Threads), X, and other emerging channels, as appropriate. The role will drive the BCBSA strategic agenda through a comprehensive analysis of the performance of content to inform and adjust the social media strategy going forward. The position will be a champion for leveraging organic and paid tactics to increase followers and engagement among priority audiences.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Craft and edit copy for all social channels and support creative development for posts, working closely the Creative, Media Relations and Campaign Strategy teams to ensure accuracy
Develop and maintain ongoing editorial calendar with input from relevant stakeholder groups - working closely with the Campaign Strategy and Storytelling teams
Monitor, engage and interact with BCBSA's social community by responding to questions, triaging issues, and joining in relevant conversations
Manage Social Media Collaborative, overseeing all group communications, the development of the monthly agenda and lead the monthly meetings
In partnership with insights and analytics, measure and analyze content performance and leverage insights to refine strategies; educate team on insights
Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media and applications
Required Education, Certifications and Experience
Bachelors Degree
Five or more years of experience in digital content strategy and development and / or social media community management and :
Experience working with external clients, vendors, or cross-functional teams ideally in both B2B and B2C settings
Experience with data-driven approach to communications
Experience developing content and channel strategy across multiple social channels to advance business goals
Preferred Education, Certifications and Experience
Agency experience (Public Relations Agency, Media Agency, Advertising Agency or related Marketing Communications Agency)
Experience working in a large, matrixed organization
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to multi-task and thrive in challenging situations that require creativity, drive and commitment
Ability to translate technical and complex information
Ability to work well under pressure, with demonstrated success at working under deadlines with tight time frames
Strong writing and verbal communications skills
Proofreading skills and use of AP Style with an acute eye for detail and quality
Knowledge of digital tools such as Google Analytics, Sprinklr or other social media monitoring platforms
Results-driven work ethic
A close eye for detail with the ability to see how details fit into the overall picture
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
