Department Overview
The Marketing Division is responsible for the sales and retention of new and existing group accounts, maintenance and service of such accounts and upgrading of business to these accounts. It is also responsible for individual, senior products and long term care sales and retention. Sales and product support involve the entire scope of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama coverage, including health, dental, long term care, life and account-based products. The Marketing Division is also responsible for product development and management, product profitability, advertising, direct marketing, marketing communications and marketing research and development.
Primary Responsibilities
The Web Data Analyst is part of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Marketing division and is responsible for analyzing, tracking, and reporting website behavior to enhance our customers' online experience and measure success for digital initiatives. The Web Data Analyst will provide insight on how to optimize website design, content, campaigns, sales funnels and overall customer experience. This position will work with internal departments and external partners to strategize, define, develop, and deliver website reporting and analysis that provides decision-makers with the information they need to maximize digital strategy efforts.
Summary of Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
- 5 years of analytics experience in a related field in support of enterprise level projects
- Experience understanding and analyzing complex issues, problems and opportunities; interpreting results; and making recommendations as to solutions or new business opportunities
- Experience utilizing and implementing enterprise level web analytics solutions such as CoreMetrics, Google Analytics, IBM NetInsight, Adobe SiteCatalyst or WebTrends
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
- Experience communicating and delivering complex analytical concepts to stakeholders and upper level management
- Proficient understanding of HTML, JavaScript, DOM, SQL and tagging methodologies
- Experience building visual reports in Microsoft Office Suite and / or Tableau
- Experience building productive team relationships, negotiating and working effectively on cross-functional teams
- Experience delivering strong organizational and work planning skills
- Experience achieving results and meeting goals
- Experience making decisions and recommendations in a fast-paced, and deadline oriented environment
- Proficiency with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4 or Adobe Analytics preferred
- Experience utilizing SQL to include querying databases (DB2 and / or SQL SQL Server) and extracting data preferred
- Web analytics certifications or documented participation with the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) or other web analytics workgroup preferred
- Experience utilizing a tag management system such as Google Tag Manager, Adobe DTM, Ensighten and Tealium preferred
- Experience managing relationships with our external agency partners, content marketing vendors, and other agencies / vendors where Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama is a client preferred
- Training with web usability, voice of customer solutions, A / B and multivariate testing preferred
- Knowledge of the products and services offered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama for our group, individual and senior markets preferred
Work Location
The work location for this position will be hybrid (onsite / remote).
