What We Need
The Procurement team is responsible for full cycle vendor operations and oversite. The Senior Buyer role is responsible for the acquisition and renewal of desktop software licenses, the acquisition and renewal of server software licenses and maintenance as well as the acquisition of computer hardware and peripheral equipment. This role may also handle the processing of standard change orders for specific vendors that do not require review by the Legal department.

In this role you will interact with various leaders mainly within the ET division as well as technology vendors. You will get to build on your expertise in dealing with vendors and negotiating technology deals.

The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
This job is also eligible for variable pay.

What We Need

Your Day To Day
- Manage requests for licenses and hardware submitted through the ET ticketing system.
- Work with end-users to source "simple one-off" purchases; activities to include developing and conducting request for quotes, evaluate bids, select and recommend suppliers, coordinate technical and commercial requirements evaluation.
- Coordinate renewals for desktop and mid-range applications (server based). Discuss need for renewal with business owner, evaluate options and negotiate renewal with vendor.
- Work with desktop team to evaluate new versions of desktop software applications.
- Ensure all appropriate policies and procedures are followed for both internal controls and external requirements.
- A strong partnership builder with internal and external stakeholders, ability to partner across the organization and seeks out opportunities to add value and demonstrate procurement capabilities.
- Someone with an understanding of desktop/mid-range software applications and licensing.
- An analytical thinker who can leverage data, industry knowledge and experience to guide vendor selection and negotiation.
- Someone with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- -Excellent time management and organization skills in order to thrive in a high pressure and deadline environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem solver that can leverage capabilities of partners effectively to ensure a balanced and informed solution development.
- Bachelor‘s degree in business, supply chain management or a related discipline required
- Requires 2 years of procurement or related experience with technology procurement
- Healthcare payor experience preferred
