Why this job matters:
The API Management team is looking for a student intern to help support the management, documentation and development of our real time services. The intern will be working with our API management teams along with our development teams. The student would have exposure to understand development standards, product management principles and agile methodologies utilizing Azure DevOps.
What you will do:
Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation and other consumer-facing content.
Gather and analyze feedback from API users to identify common issues and areas for improvement.
Update and refine user personas to better understand the target audience.
Conduct research on alternative APIs to stay informed about market trends and opportunities.
Participate in testing new API features and updates, report bugs, and suggest improvements.
Analyze usage data to uncover patterns and insights that can inform product decisions.
Collaborate in brainstorming sessions and draft proposals for new API features based on market research.
Assist in responding to developer queries and troubleshooting issues they encounter with the API.
Assist in refining user stories, features, and bugs related to APIs
Help organize and present workshops or webinars aimed at educating developers about BCBSRI APIs.
What you need to succeed:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, and Word
General computer proficiency
Knowledge of general mathematical principles, including ratios and percentages
Good presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse employee population
Computer, typing, keyboard, and Internet skills are essential
Ability to work independently
Ability to collect, analyze, and organize large amounts of data
Aptitude for or experience in software development or software testing.
Aptitude for or experience in Product Management
Familiarity with API tools, API security protocols, and REST APIs.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate in brainstorming sessions, respond to developer queries, and present in workshops or webinars
Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with various groups.
A strong interest and willingness to learning about Product Management and API principles and best practices.
Salary : $18 - $25
