Why this job matters:
Provide administrative support to Provider Payment Integrity team. The Provider Payment Integrity team conducts complex, in-depth analysis of claim payments and its methodology, identifies trends and patterns, to ascertain cost avoidance/overpayment recovery opportunities. In addition, ensures medical claims, records and other documentation essential to claims submission and reimbursement is in compliance with state and federal guidelines, provider contracts, BCBSRI policy, national coding guidelines and industry standards.
What you will do:
Attend department meetings and prepare minutes.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement
Prepare spreadsheets, reports, presentations, and other materials.
Complete special projects, tasks, and assignments under general direction.
Collect, record, analyze, and evaluate data and information.
Conduct research on various policies, practices, and topics.
Assist team with department initiatives and projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Access, and Word
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge of SQL
