Risk Adjustment Coder
As a Risk Adjustment Coder with BCSBWY, you will be an important member of our team to ensure accuracy of HCC codes within patient health information for members enrolled in risk adjusted health care plans. You will work closely with team members, physicians, and leadership to deliver high quality and accurate risk adjustment coding and analytics.
As part of the risk adjustment team, you will be responsible for HCC coding on projects for ACA risk adjustment and RADV audits using standard coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT for diagnosis and procedures within medical records while adhering to CMS guidelines.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to participate in projects as assigned by leadership as well as be able to work independently in various coding applications and electronic medical records systems to support department and organizational goals.
A High School Diploma is required. Must be a Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) through a national credentialing organization such as AAPC or AHIMA. At least three years of HCC coding and/or billing required. Five years of HCC coding and/or billing preferred.

Our positions are all based in Wyoming. Depending on the department and the position, eligible employees may be offered limited In-Office/WFH flexibility (for those positions that are offered limited WFH, there will be a required number of In-Office days per week/month depending on department). Executive level employees are required to reside full-time in Wyoming.

  • Confirmation of Wyoming residency, intent to become a Wyoming resident, or reasonable commuter distance if Colorado resident.

  • Initial interview with Hiring Manager.
  • Possible 2nd Interview with Hiring Manager and/or additional Team members.
  • Comprehensive Background Check.
