What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Owner I or II position at Blue Cross of Idaho Health Service, Inc.?
Our Product Owners work with the technology delivery teams to further the objectives of a product line or business unit capability. Product Owners increase the effectiveness and functionality of existing products and develop new products for the organization.
In this role, you will develop and lead a product vision across a suite of products and manage the product backlog for software delivery teams. We ask that you mentor, coach and develop other product managers in the organization, modeling ideal behavior and leading accountability and standard methodologies. Collaborate with business partners and the IT team to define and communicate the product roadmap and lead sprint planning meetings and explain feature / story priorities and requirements to the Agile team. In addition, you will define sprint / iteration objectives; maintain planning around multiple horizon planning timelines (iteration / quarterly / annually); prepare the product backlog for the upcoming iterations / sprints; work with business partners and EPMO to prioritize the product backlog to enhance return on investment; write well-defined user stories, user cases and acceptance criteria; drive preparation for Big Room quarterly planning; and prepare for spring review and demo.
Required Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or other relevant subject area or equivalent combination of education and work experience (Two years' relevant work experience equals one year of college to meet this requirement. If no completed degree, candidates must have 8 / years' experience in addition to the listed required experience)
Preferred : Bachelor's degree, and industry-related certification such as CSPO, CSP, etc.
Required Experience : 3-5 / years' experience specifically in product management, product owner, and / or agile specialist role(s)

- Product road mapping, planning, lifecycle management, and product backlog development
