N/AJOB OVERVIEW:
The Powered Industrial Lift Operator operates a forklift to move supplies, equipment, rawmaterials, and finished goods to and from various processes throughout a fast-paced food
manufacturing facility. Performs material movement transactions by scanning and interfacing
with the inventory management system.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate a forklift according to established safety standards while meeting quality requirements and production targets.
- Complete pre-operational inspections to ensure lift is safe to drive and will perform reliably.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and standard work to uphold the high-quality production of goods.
- Actively communicate with fellow team members to solve problems and engage in continuous improvement.
- Understand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to make critical operating decisions to achieve company and department goals.
- Perform equipment cleaning, floor housekeeping, and sanitation tasks for sustained operations.
- Efficiently navigate within software applications to perform inventory transactions, record data, and monitor key processes and production flows.
WHAT YOU NEED
*Minimum qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Work overtime; occasionally flex hours
- Forklift license and/or pass a certification course
- Able to lift 50 pounds
*Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in food manufacturing
- At least 1 year industrial lift operating experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a standard manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery in varying work and weather conditions. You may be required to occasionally climb stairs and/or ladders.
