N/AJOB OVERVIEW:
The Roll Stock Assistant Operator is responsible for full understanding and operation of various equipment in their assigned area, including but not limited to set up, start up, operational adjustments, changeovers, and sanitation of packaging equipment within quality standards and specifications.RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Must understand line operating functions, ensuring that production safety and quality standards are met.
Set up, start up and equipment performance, adjust equipment settings as needed, troubleshoot downtime and inefficiencies as required.
Maintain and complete necessary production documents including centerline checklists, start of shift and changeover paperwork, complete hourly quality checks and associated paperwork.
Complete changeovers on equipment performing sanitation, housekeeping, and some mechanical functions for designated line.
Understand Blue Diamond line certification, HACCP process and auditing, Good Manufacturing Practices, and safety procedures.
Employee must understand requirements and systems used to maintain product quality, production schedules and ordering materials. Maintains adequate inventory of supplies, such as fiber and film needed for each PO; may be required to inventory material usage.
Partner with cross functional departments including Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and Sanitation.
Contributes within a team environment leading to production improvements.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by Supervisor.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum level of education required.
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum number of year(s) of experience required in addition to education plus type(s) of functional experience.
One (1) year of applicable experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Other required type(s) of functional experience (e.g., Production/Operations, Accounting, Forklift Operator, Inventory Control, etc.)
Must have basic math skills.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be able to work under limited supervision. Expected to decide what actions to take when handling all but the most unusual task. Must regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work schedules, policies and procedures, product specifications, instructions, and other documents.
Work consists of a wide range of tasks requiring a high level of problem-solving skills that result in solutions from several alternatives.
Must help maintain product quality while meeting output standards.
Must be able to interpret and accomplish tasks and directives described in complex technical, administrative, professional and company guidelines.
Must be able to work overtime as necessary.

Must be able to pass the operator certification (AON) test.
Required to operate forklift/transporter.

Previous Machine Operation experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

On shift employee is constantly required to stand and walk, and use hands and arms to handle, feel, and reach. The position involves lifting less than 10 pounds for long periods of time and up to 50 lbs. periodically throughout the shift.
