What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Associate position at Blue Diamond Industries, LLC?
The production worker's principal duty is to ensure that the pipe is produced safely and correctly while adhering to Blue Diamonds policies and procedures. This is for our second shift position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for safely starting up and shutting down of line.
- Match the job order to print on the pipe and ensure that it is printing correctly (includes color, strip, tape, and print).
- Visually inspect the pipe being produced and make sure that it is straight on the reel.
- Make sure footage is correct on reel, that it is tied down correctly.
- Perform visual inspection throughout process.
- Keep area clean of debris and orderly and keep eye out for potential safety hazards.
- Clearly understand and follow safety protocol for running line.
- Run pelletizer machine as needed.
- Safely operate grinding machine, set up auto pullers, adjust controls to start/stop machine.
- Handle material, refill bins, move material around facility, ensure line is stocked adequately.
- Cross trained to learn necessary duties on line or in department.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Good communication skills
- Ability to understand oral and written instructions
- Ability to lift and manipulate pipe
- Forklift Certification
Physical Requirements, with or without accommodation:
- Regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of times during a shift.
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push and pull 50-100 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a factory setting.
- Understanding of PPE and the importance of safety.
