What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Blue Diamond Industries?
Blue Diamond Industries is in search of a Warehouse Associate for its Clinton, SC plant. This role is a full-time, permanent position that will ensure that products are prepared for shipment and the loading and unloading of trucks timely and efficiently while adhering to Blue Diamonds policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for bundling products for shipment.
- Load, unload, and move material onto trucks for shipment out of and into warehouse facility.
- Load/unload each truck with zero product damage.
- Secure loads with straps, tie downs, or other means to ensure safe transport of product.
- Move/storage material in yard and warehouse orderly and safely.
- Breakdown reels.
- Responsible for inventory.
- Pick and pack parts, products, etc.
- Assist with Assembly when needed.
- Keep warehouse and year clean of debris and orderly and keep eye out for potential safety hazards.
- Clearly understand and follow safety protocol for shipping/receiving.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Specifications Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Previous warehouse/shipping/receiving experience preferred.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers.
- Understanding of PPE and the importance of safety.
- Must have 2-3 years Forklift experience and be able to pass a BDI forklift training test.
Physical Requirements, with or without accommodation:
- Regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of times during a shift.
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push and pull 50-100 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a factory setting.
