Join us in making dogs happy and their owners delighted! **Position:** Dog Care Attendant **Shift Schedule:** Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Thursdays 7:00 Am - 2:00 PM as needed. Additional pay for covering shifts. * Additional hours are available for walks, drop-in pet sitting, shift coverage, and other business needs. * Saturdays, Sundays, and all major holidays off. **Job Summary:** This hands-on role involves providing direct care to dogs, ensuring their safety and well-being during their time with us. This is a physically active position requiring constant engagement with dogs throughout your shift. Reports To: Business Owner, Daycare Supervisor **Requirements:** * Professional experience (employment or volunteer) working with dogs of all sizes and ages, including familiarity with dog behavior in group settings. * Comfortable and professional interaction with clients. * Knowledge of positive reinforcement training techniques. We do not use air cans, shake cans, or aversives in our play groups. * Active engagement with dogs in the daycare yards. * Ability to navigate stairs and uneven surfaces in outdoor play yards. * Proficiency in cleaning and maintaining dog play areas and the facility, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waste removal, dishwashing, and laundry. * Independent decision-making skills and initiative to complete tasks without constant supervision. * Willingness to work outdoors and indoors, regardless of weather conditions. * Comfort driving in New England weather. *This hands-on role involves providing direct care to dogs, ensuring their safety and well-being during their time with us. This is a physically active position requiring constant engagement with dogs throughout your shift. **Employees will be required to stand and walk for the entire duration of their shift * Comfort interacting with clients during check-in/check-out. * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and restrain dogs weighing up to 100 pounds. * Punctuality and dependability are essential. * Reliable transportation is required.
