Job Description:

Blue Door Pest Control, located in Jupiter, is on the hunt for a dedicated full-time Pest Control Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone who has a personal work truck or van that they are interested in using for the next 1-2 months. Mileage for wear and tear will be provided as well as a fuel card for fuel expenses.

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE:

Schedule:

You'll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 9 AM to 6 PM, giving you your evenings and weekends free! Overtime is available.

Daily Activities:

Your day kicks off with inspecting a residential property for any signs of pests. With your expert eye and skills, you'll swiftly identify problem areas and devise a tailored treatment plan. You’ll apply pesticides and other control products with care, ensuring the safety of both the environment and residents. Throughout the day, you’ll educate customers on pest prevention and provide long-term solution recommendations. Every day is unique, but your commitment to excellence remains steady!

• Conduct thorough inspections of both interior and exterior spaces to detect pest issues
• Provide expert advice on chemical and natural pest control solutions
• Offer accurate estimates for one-time treatments and ongoing maintenance plans
• Set traps and lay bait for rodents
• Apply treatments around home perimeters for termites, ants, and other insects
• Safely remove nests of wasps, hornets, and bees
• Seal entry points using foam, mesh, and wood to prevent rodent access
• Recommend the best products and services for effective pest management

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 1-2 years of pest control experience preferred but not necessary
• Knowledge of common household pests, their behaviors, and control methods
• Highly reliable with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Sales experience is a plus!

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Looking for someone who is interested in using their personal vehicle, like a van or truck, that meets required standards for approximately the first 30-60 days. Mileage reimbursement will be provided as well as a fuel card.
• A clear understanding of safety protocols for pest control, including wearing properly-fitted respirators (as needed) when working with chemicals and donning protective clothing and gloves
• Physical stamina to endure lifting of equipment and excessive bending and kneeling to locate pests in hard-to-reach areas
• Familiarity with electrical and plumbing systems in the event of infestations in the pipes or chewed wiring
• Good interpersonal and communication skills when speaking with customers and advising on treatment methods
• Strong attention to detail when performing pest detection and treatment procedures
• Willingness to learn new extermination techniques and procedures based on industry trends
• Passing a background check and drug test are required for this position
