Job Summary
The Project Scheduling Technician works closely with the Operations team to coordinate the planning and performance for the field service personnel. This position assists in the BlueFin process of screening, training and evaluating operations personnel. Responsible for execution of tasks as assigned by the President. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and recommendations on personnel matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works under general supervision to provide support to operations management.
- Assists with selection of Operations personnel.
- Identify required credentials necessary for personnel to go on job.
- Work alongside HR, QHSE, and Technical Training for development of training requirements, competency, etc.
- Coordinates training and development of field operations personnel.
- Supports and assists with the identification and coordination of job crew scheduling.
- Generates reports that calculate and track: personnel utilization by company pool, non-billable time vs billable time for billable personnel.
- Tracks performance of individuals and reports personnel potential to District Managers.
- Coordinate post job evaluations from field, shop, and office personnel regarding field personnel.
- Participation and Compliance with BlueFin Quality Management System.
- Proactively work to create positive and professional culture with BlueFin.
- Assist with coordination of third-party staffing service personnel.
- Must be able to obtain assessor status.
- Assists with generating new hire plan.
- Attends meetings to discuss projects and priorities.
- Monitors utilization to abide by BlueFin Driving and Fatigue Management Policies.
Education and Experience
- High School degree or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in energy industry preferred.
- At least 1 year experience with scheduling/planning or related position.
- Experience in managing or supervising personnel preferred.
- Field experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to type and look at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to pass a preemployment background check, drug screen, and/or physical.
- Ability to travel.
