Field Supervisor – Berkley Springs, WV
Job Summary:
The Propane Field Supervisor will oversee all operations related to the delivery, installation, and maintenance of propane systems in the Berkeley Springs, WV.
This role involves managing a team of drivers/technicians, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high customer satisfaction through effective leadership, troubleshooting, and technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:
o Supervise, train, and mentor a team of propane service technicians to ensure efficient, safe, and quality work.
o Schedule daily work assignments and ensure timely completion of tasks.
o Conduct performance evaluations and recommend professional development opportunities.
2. Operational Oversight:
o Oversee propane delivery, system installations, and maintenance to ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
o Ensure the proper and safe operation of equipment, tools, and machinery used by field technicians.
o Monitor inventory of propane tanks, parts, and other necessary supplies to maintain operational efficiency.
3. Safety Compliance:
o Enforce compliance with OSHA, DOT, and local regulations related to propane distribution and safety.
o Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions where needed.
o Lead safety training programs and ensure that all technicians are up to date with required certifications.
4. Customer Relations:
o Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing service issues promptly and professionally.
o Act as the main point of contact for customers on job sites and resolve any issues related to service delivery or technical support.
5. Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:
o Assist technicians with complex troubleshooting and technical issues in the field.
o Provide hands-on support when required, including emergency response to service calls.
6. Administrative Duties:
o Maintain accurate records of service reports, equipment, inventory, and personnel.
o Assist with the planning of scheduled maintenance and emergency response for clients.
o Collaborate with other departments (logistics, customer service, and operations) to streamline workflow.
7. Quality Control:
o Ensure that all installations, repairs, and maintenance services meet company standards for quality and safety.
o Perform field audits and inspections of work performed by technicians.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree or vocational training in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the propane industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Certification in propane handling and safety (e.g., OPD, DOT, and related certifications) is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of propane distribution, delivery systems, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- CDL Class B with X endorsement preferred. Clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively in a dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, bending, and lifting.
