Position: Quality Control Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain quality control documents and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to quality procedures throughout each phase of production.
- Inspect BFG products at various production stages to ensure consistency across all product categories.
- Conduct visual, durability, and measurement assessments to meet quality standards.
- Reject unacceptable products, complete repair tags, and coordinate with the Production team or subcontractors for repairs.
- Educate internal production teams and subcontractors on quality control concerns and issues.
- Document quality issues and corrective actions taken.
- Develop and maintain process checklists, coordinating quality inspections.
- Distribute Quality Tech Packs and approved quality counter samples for internal and external use.
- Review and approve counter samples and standards for in-house and subcontractor production.
- Work closely with Product Development to verify quality callouts for new products and maintain existing product standards.
- Report problems immediately to supervisors, departments, and senior management.
- Evaluate Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) items and determine product disposition, documenting repairs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expedite orders as needed.
- Stay updated with job knowledge through educational opportunities and technical publications.
- Support the 6S initiative by maintaining a clean work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Quality Control certification is preferred.
Previous Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in textiles.
- Familiarity with quality control standards.
- Experience in reading technical drawings and tolerances.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of tactical gear is a plus.
