Shady Cove Marina and Resort Restaurant is seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Server to join our team. Located on the scenic shores of Castalian Springs, TN, our restaurant offers a unique dining experience with a relaxed atmosphere and a passion for great food and service. As a Server, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience by providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests promptly with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner, ensuring orders are correct and meet quality standards.
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Process payments accurately, including cash, credit cards, and gift cards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tables, service stations, and dining areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed, such as setting up tables or helping with special events.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing outstanding guest service.
- Must be at least 19 years old (if serving alcohol, per Tennessee state law).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
