Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. This position requires strong management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety on-site.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project progress.
- Utilize construction management software to track project schedules, budgets, and resources efficiently.
- Review schematics and plans to ensure alignment with project specifications and compliance with safety regulations.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards throughout the construction process.
- Conduct regular site inspections using tools such as an ohmmeter to ensure compliance with safety protocols, including OSHA regulations.
- Support the Superintendent in contract management and negotiation processes as needed.
- Provide guidance and training for on-site staff to enhance productivity and safety awareness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of quality control processes within the construction industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards.
Travel to Raleigh NC required.
