Job Description
The Blue Heron is seeking a Cleaning Specialist to keep our buildings and property in a clean and orderly condition. Characteristics of this person would be energetic, organized, and a creative taskmaster. Attention to detail and schedule flexibility is a must.
Early morning shift, typically with a start time of 6am. Approximately 4 hours of cleaning inside of the store followed by 2-4 hours outside picking up trash, emptying trash cans, wiping down tables, helping our gardener with any projects such as pulling weeds etc...
Must have reliable transportation & be on time each day.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas both inside and outside (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
Skills
- Proven working experience as a cleaner
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- Integrity
