Dental Hygienist

Blue Hill Peninsula Dental is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our exceptional team. Position Details:

• Compensation: $50.00 per hour
• Schedule: Approximately 32 hours per week (Monday–Thursday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, or as needed).
• Lunch Breaks: Flexible options for a 1-hour unpaid lunch or a 20-minute paid lunch.
• Pay Frequency: biweekly

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Dental Hygienist at Blue Hill Peninsula Dental, you will:

• Deliver exceptional hygiene services, including cleanings, periodontal care, sealants, impressions, fluoride applications, and more.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and treatment plans, advocating for optimal dental health.
• Collaborate with the dental team to determine patient needs and provide personalized care.
• Maintain and restock supplies, sterilize instruments, and ensure operatory readiness.
• Assist the doctor with simple restorations and other tasks as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members, fostering a respectful and compassionate environment.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Dental Hygienist in the state of Maine.
• Proficient in standard dental hygiene procedures, including local anesthesia administration and scaling/root planning.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Commitment to patient care and adherence to our core values.
