POSITION: Facilities Manager
DEPARTMENT: Facilities
REPORTS TO: Facilities Director
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
POSITION PURPOSE: Construct, maintain and support all aspects of The Blue Hills Country Club’s physical facilities through innovation, foresight and dedication to the members and their guest’s pleasurable experiences.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain and repair plumbing fixtures to include water and waistlines.
· Repair broken furniture around the property.
· Perform woodworking and construction around the property,
· Fix electrical wiring as needed.
· Repair and assist in replacing commercial appliances when needed.
· Provide maintenance and repair to HVAC systems.
· Assist in maintaining the three buildings on the Blue Hills property.
· Perform other routine preventive maintenance tasks as instructed.
· Other duties as assigned by management
· Maintain a clean and organized workshop and work area.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· High School diploma or GED required.
· Post-secondary vocational/ technical training in mechanical, electrical & plumbing desirable.
· One year’s maintenance experience in an institutional or business setting desirable.
· 30-40 hour work week
· Positive attitude and strong work ethic
· Willingness to learn and self-improve.
· Contribute to a team environment.
· Safety orientated.
· Flexible schedule for on call and emergency situations
· Regular and predictable attendance required
· Knowledge of construction trades including but not limited to:
o Mechanical
o Electrical
o Plumbing
o Carpentry
o Painting
o Flooring
o Drywall
o Doors & Windows
o Kitchen Equipment
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
· Able to lift 50 lbs.
· Extended walking and moving
· Moving mechanical equipment
· Weather conditions
· Fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
· High noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
· Electrically energized equipment
