We are a family oriented office that strives to provide a full range of services from routine eye and contact lens exams to fitting patients for glasses and in-house edging.
Role Description
We are looking for a full time/part time Licensed Optician with required experience in contact lenses. The Optician will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the appropriate eye, adjusting and repairing eyewear, and ordering/maintaining contact lenses.
Job responsibilities
Work directly with the doctor to review recommended treatment options and fees and ensure proper follow up care
Assist patient with eyewear selection and educating on lens designs and options
Perform eyewear adjustments and repairs
Order contact lens stock and trials
Maintain CLs trials in office
Conduct contact lens insertion and removal classes
Effectively communicate insurance benefits to patients
Receive/verify optical and contact lens lab orders
Assist front desk personnel with tasks including verifying insurance eligibility/benefits, scheduling/confirming appointments, and and collective copayments when needed
Qualifications
Licensed Dispensing Optician in MA (required)
ABO and NCLE Certification (required)
Experience with contact lenses (required)
Strong customer service skills
Attention to detail and problem-solving
