We are seeking a Part Time Maintenance Technician to join our team. You'll work on both interior and exterior areas, managing a variety of tasks to overall maintain the property to the proper standards of functionality. The Maintenance Technician will handle everyday tasks like painting, changing light bulbs, taking out the trash, and other small repairs as well as routine maintenance, preventative care, and responding promptly to service requests.
Reporting to the General Manager and taking direction from the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll work on ongoing projects while adapting to the ever-changing needs of a hotel schedule. While this position is not on-call, weekly hours may vary based on scheduling needs.
Compensation:$22 - $24 hourly
Responsibilities:- Inspect the building for any structural damage to windows, doors, walls, and perform necessary repairs
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks
- Take additional maintenance requests as assigned
- Record when any equipment was serviced and repairs were made
- Complete guest room work orders in a prompt and efficient manner
- Perform MINOR repairs on heating, cooling, and plumbing
- Respond quickly and professionally to guest needs
- Perform painting tasks including patching drywall, caulking, cosmetic touch-ups
- Deliver and/or remove furnishings from rooms as needed
- Routinely participate in preventative maintenance programs
- Complete daily assigned responsibilities and provide guests with excellent customer service
- Superb attention to detail, work ethic, and communication skills
- Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Flexible availability for on-call maintenance requests on nights and weekends
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Previous hotel/building experience a plus
