JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the safe operation and transport of vehicles on company property, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists guests promptly and courteously with Valet check-in and checkout.
- Welcomes and greets all guests in a friendly, upbeat, and positive manner using the guest’s name when possible and recognizing all VIP guests.
- Opens vehicle doors, assists guests in stepping out of their vehicles, and helps guests with luggage or parcels.
- Greets everyone at all times. Smiles, makes eye contact and verbally greets guests and open doors for them both at arrival and departure from the property.
- Runs/Jogs safely to ensure promptness and urgency of vehicle parking/retrieval at all times, in accordance with established safety guidelines.
- Parks vehicles in designated areas of the property, then accurately records the location of the vehicle onto a Valet receipt, which is attached to the appropriate keys and stored in the Valet office until the guest is ready to leave the property.
- Effectively communicates with the Guest Services and Security staff.
- Promptly clears ramp area of cars to be parked.
- Presents a clean, neat and well-groomed appearance, wearing only the designated Valet uniform while on the job.
- Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
- Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
- Maintains a working knowledge of Blue Lake Casino facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise guests and fellow team members of same, whenever possible.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to relate effectively in one-on-one situations with guests and other team members of the casino.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- While employed, must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.
- While employed, must maintain a valid California State Drivers License.
- Must complete TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) training for serving alcohol responsibly within three months of being employed and maintain a valid certificate while employed thereafter.
