Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role involves caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged, as well as adolescent and teenage children in a transitional home setting, ensuring their well-being while engaging them in age-appropriate activities.
Duties
- Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Plan and implement activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Engage children in play that encourage creativity and exploration.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
- Communicate effectively with DCS regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
- Foster positive relationships with children by being approachable, friendly, and supportive.
- Collaborate with other childcare staff to ensure a cohesive approach to caregiving.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of infant care practices and early childhood education principles.
- Experience in childcare, daycare, or classroom settings is preferred.
- Ability to incorporate positive behavior technieques when needed.
- Proficient in caregiving techniques that promote child safety and well-being.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures is essential; certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, DCS, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability in responding to children's needs.
- Previous experience in babysitting or childcare roles is beneficial.
