Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Implement behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior and social skills.
- Assist with daily routines.
- Educate children through play-based learning, fostering curiosity and creativity.
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare environment, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
- Communicate effectively with DCS regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with other childcare staff to create a cohesive team environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare settings such as nannying, babysitting, or classroom environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while providing positive reinforcement.
- Experience with infant care and toddler care.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, DCS staff, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to educate children through engaging activities that stimulate learning.
