Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for children in DCS custody. Staff will need to focus on physical and mental health while caring for the children in transitional homes.
Duties
- Provide personal care services including ensuring that each child's daily hygeine needs are taken care of.
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, cooking, and housekeeping.
- Create activities for children to participate in while in the home.
- Offer emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Implement safety measures in accordance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy and confidentiality.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home community care, daycare, residential, or other childcare.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
- Ability to perform patient observation effectively, recognizing changes in condition or behavior.
- Strong cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals tailored to client dietary needs.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach towards caregiving.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while following care plans.
