As a pivotal member of the team, the Human Resource Manager (HRM) will align people strategies with business objectives to drive growth and foster an engaging and high-performing culture. Key responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs day-to-day functions required by the HR Department, to include HR file maintenance, paperwork, onboarding/offboarding, coordination of management, handbook/policy reviews and updates, etc.
- Collaborates with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provides support and guidance to leadership, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
- May be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Promote BLS values, mission(s) and objectives, shaping a positive culture.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
· 5 years of HR experience, preferably with mid-size companies and/or companies undergoing rapid growth initiatives.
· Proven ability to work with senior leadership to drive HR strategies and business objectives.
· Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and risk management.
· Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
· Demonstrated experience in managing change, fostering engagement, and driving organizational culture.
· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
· HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
