Regional Sales Manager (RSM)
Blue Line Solutions is searching for salespersons who are looking for a fast paced, professional environment within a rapidly growing private business in the Law Enforcement technology market, specializing in traffic and school zone safety.
The applicant must have at least 4 years of experience serving in outside sales, preferably in the law enforcement/government market. Previous experience in government bid opportunities, bid responses, appointment setting, and direct sales preferred. Previous experience in law enforcement preferred.
Area of Operations:
Macon, GA and surrounding areas - will serve the majority of the State of Georgia.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Visit law enforcement agencies on daily basis
- Provide presentations to city councils, mayors, government leaders
- Deliver professional demonstrations and/or presentations of company products/services during onsite visits with current customers as well as potentially new customers
- Provide resources and solutions to government agencies and address client questions
- Gain contracts with law enforcement / government agencies
- Attend and run conferences and trade shows
- Monitors and reports on market and competitor activities
- Organize and attends joint sale calls with other manufacturers and/or various vendor representatives
- Perform updates and maintenance of accounts of customers including contact names and numbers for future sales
- Ensure follow-ups are done in a timely manner after sales calls/presentations
- Make cold calls, face to face, and telephone prospecting to develop new business leads
- Attend law enforcement/government meetings
Qualifications and Skills
- Must have 5 years previous experience in outside/direct Law Enforcement Sales and/or Law Enforcement Experience
- Prior law enforcement experience preferred
- Must be proficient with computer skills, & communication skills
- Must be outgoing and self-motivated
- Must be able to work with a team
- Effective time management and organization skills
- Must work well under pressure and be able to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to foster customer relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
- Must be able to pass a drug test
Education:
- Minimum of High School Diploma/GED, college experience preferred
- Must have an understanding of government contracts
Work Location
- Fully Remote - Work done on the road
- Must be available to travel a minimum of 3 days per week
Compensation:
Salary will be discussed with qualified candidates and be parallel to experience and skillset.
