Overview
Our in-house production department develops and designs products for use in the public safety sector. Our Trailer Assembly Technicians are the essential team members who make our mobile trailer-fixed products. We are seeking team members who will help build our high quality, technologically advanced products for our customers nationwide.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Perform all activities associated with the production of mobile surveillance trailers. Work closely with team members to meet production expectations. Work toward advancement within the growing production department by providing excellent workmanship and desire to improve.
I. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS

· Production assembly of mobile surveillance trailers.
· Maintain a high level of attention to detail.
· Assemble assorted low-voltage hardware and equipment.
· Maintain production schedule according to defined timeline.
· Connect wiring between components according to the wiring print, specification sheet, and/or schematic using hand tools such as screwdrivers, strippers, crimpers, etc.
· Install wiring, lugs, and assemble/install components such as switches, and relays and other apparatus in a frame, panel or other structural support according to design specifications.
· Lay out, route, and tie wire to panels by using wiring bundles, bundle holders, clips, and bushings and other protectors with hand tools.
· Positions, aligns, and adjusts wires and components to facilitate wiring and assembly of product.
· Attach wire labels.
II. Qualifications and Requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalency.
Experience in electronics assembly preferred but not essential.
Experience using computers, computer programs, hand tools, specialized tools, ladders, and hardware.
Experience working in production and assembly environment.
Valid driver’s license issued within the United States.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, write, type, and communicate fluently in English. Ability to present information and reports to supervisors, other employees, and customers in a clear and logical manner that is easily understood.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
· Familiar small hand tools and power tool equipment.
· Soldering experience preferred.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams.
Ability to interpret and apply instructions, including technical information.
III. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical requirements listed below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential job functions.
MOVEMENT:
While performing the duties and tasks of this job, the technician may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time; use hands to grasp or handle objects, tools, controls, or keyboards, reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Must be able to work varying hours based on customer and company needs.
LIFTING AND VISION:
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift heavier objects. Close vision will be necessary to read small print, such as product serial numbers, computer screens, keyboards, instructions, etc. Distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus will also be utilized.
IV. WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are potentially representative of those encountered by an individual performing the essential functions of this job.
The employee will be working around sensitive information and must be able to pass a background check, including fingerprint submission. Employee is required to work in a drug-free environment and pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test and subject to random and/or post-incident drug and alcohol testing.
CONDITIONS:
The working conditions are typical of an electronics production facility.
