The Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in managing and executing the company’s financial operations, including financial reporting, compliance, and process enhancements for five (5) different companies. This hybrid role is based in Doral, Florida, and requires in-office attendance three days a week.
This role necessitates robust analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration to bolster financial and business objectives. The Senior Accountant will be a key part of the finance team, reporting directly to the Controller/Finance Manager and working closely with other team members.

- General Ledger Management
- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
- Prepare, review, and maintain journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial statements to identify variances and trends and provide insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
- Month-End Close Process
- Manage the month-end close process, including reconciling accounts, preparing accruals, and handling intercompany transactions.
- Support the creation of monthly reporting packages for management review.
- Manage company benefits reconciliation and payroll taxes in partnership with HR.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams to assist in budgeting and forecasting.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results to budgeted amounts.
- Audit and Compliance
- Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and continuously look for ways to improve processes and controls.
- Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting function.
- Leverage technology to streamline accounting operations and reporting.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Responsible for accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Manage expense reporting and approval workflows.
- Team Leadership and Mentoring
- Support cross-departmental initiatives as a finance representative.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Experience ideally in a similar industry. (Manufacturing)
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience with Tipalti is a Plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and functions.
