Senior Network Consultant - Remote US Only Department : Blue MantisEmployment Type : Full TimeLocation : RemoteDescription We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Consultant to lead our network infrastructure projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network systems with a focus on routing, switching, firewall management, wireless networks, voice communication systems, and F5 load balancing.Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and support complex network infrastructure solutions using BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols across Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies.Deploy and manage SD-WAN solutions to optimize network performance across branch offices and data centers.Work with leading technology vendors, including Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, and Palo Alto, to deliver robust network solutions.Implement cloud networking solutions, ensuring smooth integration and performance across on-premises and cloud environments.Lead customer-facing activities during project kick-offs, implementation, migration, and post-cutover support, ensuring customer satisfaction.Develop and deliver technical implementation plans, ensuring they align with customer objectives and project timelines.Manage and scope network infrastructure projects, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to meet project goals.Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues while providing mentorship to junior engineers.Ensure that all network infrastructure is scalable, secure, and highly available.Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices, and continually improve internal processes and service delivery.Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Extensive hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols in large-scale, enterprise environments.In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network technologies, including VLANs, spanning-tree, and routing.Proven expertise in SD-WAN architecture and deployment.Proficiency with networking products and solutions from Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and other leading vendors.Strong understanding of cloud networking technologies, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments.Solid experience with project scoping, planning, and delivering network solutions in a customer-facing role.Ability to write detailed technical implementation plans and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience with migrations, cutovers, and post-implementation support, ensuring minimal disruption to services.Strong troubleshooting skills, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.CCNP or equivalent certifications required; CCIE or other advanced certifications are highly preferred.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Preferred Qualifications : Experience with automation and scripting for network management.Knowledge of network security best practices and experience with firewalls and VPNs.Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar.#J-18808-Ljbffr
