Position Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs duties of personal care that might be given to convalescent, chronically ill, or disabled persons in their homes. Works with individuals and families to assist them in assuming responsibilities toward self-care.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Documents the care in accordance to the HHA POC and informs the RN of any changes.
- Follows the HHA POC and does not exceed the scope of practice.
- Completed 12 HH / HO related CEUs per year, and is current with Oregon Home Care Aide Exam.
- Demonstrates the ability to function in a flexible staffing situation and changes accordingly.
- Demonstrates good communication skills to effectively discuss patient care to nurses and other staff.
- Is responsible of communicating with RN when changing patient frequency.
- Reports all accidents, incidents, changes in patient care to the nurse immediately.
- Is a team-player and willing to assist other disciplines when work as a HHA is completed.
