As the Beverage Manager, you will be at the heart of our resort’s vibrant food and beverage scene. REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with staff and management.
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in a high-volume food & beverage establishment.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a ServSafe and RAMP certification card (Server/Seller & Manager).
- Willingness to learn and operate new POS software to manage and program bar screens.
- The ability to accurately cost out beer, liquor, and wine items for bars and special events.
- Physical ability to withstand prolonged standing, bending, and kneeling.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, maintaining composure and professionalism while interacting with guests, team members, and management.
- Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and achieve departmental goals.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and take direction as needed.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Oversee daily operations of all bars across the resort.
- Maintain proper inventory control, conduct monthly inventory.
- Develop and update bar menus, including seasonal cocktail creation.
- Collaborate with bartenders to enhance beverage offerings.
- Create and manage order guides for all bars on a seasonal basis.
- Schedule and hire bartenders, ensuring a well-trained team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with beer, wine, and liquor vendors.
- Assist in bar revamping efforts, including styling, tastings, and presentation training for staff.
- Train, develop, and evaluate beverage staff on proper techniques, knowledge, and skills.
- Manage beverage and labor costs effectively.
- Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania liquor laws.
- Monitor, update, and maintain RAMP (Responsible Alcohol Management Program) guides.
- Develop and implement detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all bar areas.
- Involvement with wedding planning & banquets to encompass specialty cocktails and drink package selection
